Three misfit twentysomethings–one with Tourette’s, one OCD, and one anorexic–embark on a quixotic road trip in THE ROAD WITHIN, director Gren Wells’ humorous and heartfelt indie remake of the 2010 German dramedy VINCENT WANTS TO SEA. Robert Sheenan is the young man whose often violent tics make adjustment to adulthood a challenge, while Robert Patrick plays his detached father, who puts his political campaign on hold to search for the missing trio. In this interview with WhatsUpHollywood.com, Sheehan talks about researching his role by visiting support groups for Tourette, while Wells discusses how she brought authenticity to the story. THE ROAD WITHIN opened in theaters April 17.
