John Noble, the resident eccentric scientist on television’s Fringe, now has his chance to play a real Brainiac.  In the animated feature SUPERMAN: UNBOUND, based on the classic tale by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, Nobel portrays BRAINIAC, an android who travels the universe collecting cities… and leaving destroyed planets in his wake.  Having stolen the city of Kandor and destroying Krypton, the maniacal A.I. now has his sights on Metropolis, not only threatening Superman’s city but his entire adopted planet!

In a recent interview, Nobel discussed being a lifelong fan of Superman.  “When I was a little boy growing up in the country of south Australia,” he reminisced fondly, “we didn’t have television, but we had radio, so after school we’d listen to radio serials.  And Superman was my favorite, we’d always come home and listen to ‘SUPER-MAAAN!’”  Providing the voice in a Superman adventure was thus a dream come true for the actor.  The Warner Brothers animated feature will be available in DVD, Blu-Ray, and VOD on May 7, 2013.
