The documentary film Stories We Tell, directed by Sarah Polley, is very personal but also contains some very interesting stories.
It is about her journey to find out who her biological father is. The journey is painful to the people she interviewed to find out the facts. How did she start this journey? Why did she end up making a documentary of that journey? How accurate were people’s memories? As the title explains, there are different stories in this film due to the different perspectives. Is this like Rashomon?
